You will join a team of 8 in total. WORK FROM HOME FULL TIME, very seldom in the office. We are looking for a Senior Azure Engineer / Consultant with hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud networking to join a very established Consultancy team delivering complex, enterprise-scale Azure environments. This is not an architecture-only role and not a support role. You will be hands-on building complex Azure solutions, working on GLOBAL business-critical platforms for large organisations, including financial services and insurance clients.
You will be working on multiple high-impact projects, building secure, scalable and well-governed Azure landing zones and enterprise environments using Infrastructure as Code and modern cloud practices.
What You’ll Be DoingYou will do the design, build and automation of Azure environments, including:
- Designing and implementing enterprise Azure Landing Zones aligned to Microsoft CAF (Cloud Adoption Framework)
- Delivering complex Azure networking architectures, including: vWAN, ExpressRoute, Routing, BGP, Route Servers
- NVAs (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet)
- Building and maintaining infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Bicep and JSON ARM templates)
- Automating deployments and configuration using PowerShell and Azure CLI
- Implementing automation for provisioning, monitoring and patching
- Ensuring environments meet governance, security and operational standards
- Working closely with architects, developers, engineers and project managers
A true senior Azure engineer / consultant (not a pure architect, not a junior) who understands enterprise Azure design in a practical, buildable way and can define and implement network-heavy, secure, multi-subscription, multi-environment Azure platforms. Someone who is comfortable working independently and delivering under pressure.
Essential Experience- 3 years hands-on experience in Azure infrastructure engineering
- Strong experience with: Azure Networking (vWAN, ExpressRoute, routing, BGP, firewalls/NVAs)
- Azure Landing Zones and CAF concepts
- Bicep and JSON ARM templates
- PowerShell scripting and Azure CLI
- Solid knowledge of: Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage, Key Vault, App Gateway, Azure Monitor
- Cloud security, identity and access management, cost optimisation
- Experience with DevOps tooling such as: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions
- Valid driving licence
