Our client is a leading 4* hotel near Liverpool that is recruiting for a Financial Controller / Finance Manager. This hotel is already one of the foremost hotels in the area offering quality bedrooms stock, well-appointed M&E and stylish public areas.
This role would suit an experienced Financial Controller or Assistant Financial Controller ready for career progression and looking to grow into a bigger hotel operation. You will oversee all financial reporting, support in managing the hotel payroll & the control of all financial processes including purchase and sales ledger within the operation, reporting to Head Office every month.
Responsibilities- Daily reconciliations from each department from tills all the way to bank statements including all payment types (cash, cards & pdq machines).
- Responding to all correspondence & emails for accounts.
- Daily sales reports for HOD's.
- All payment runs BACS/Chaps.
- Liaising with Head office finance teams to produce month end accounts.
- Budgeting.
- Forecasting.
- Actuals vs Forecast analysis.
- Possess a proven track record of working in a hotel accounts department at a minimum of Assistant Financial Controller level.
- Be highly motivated with a strong strategic understanding of business dynamics.
- Must be an excellent problem solver & possess the ability to 'think on their feet' & to remain calm & effective in all situations.
- Excellent communications skills, both oral & written.
- Possess good analysing skills of financial data & market trends.
- Ideally from a hotel or hospitality background.
