Position: Front Office Manager – Branded 4-Star Property
Location: Derby, East Midlands
Salary: Circa £35,000 per annum plus bonus up to 10% of salary
We are currently seeking an experienced Front Office Manager to lead the Front Office department at our well-established 4-star branded hotel . With over 100 guest rooms and extensive meeting and event facilities, this is a fast-paced, guest-focused environment where operational excellence and service delivery are paramount.
As part of a recognised brand within the hospitality sector, our hotel prides itself on delivering a consistently high standard of guest service and operational efficiency and will need a confident leader with a proven background in similar-sized operations and a passion for hospitality excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the day-to-day operations of the Front Office , including Reception and Night Teams
* Ensure brand standards and service expectations are consistently met or exceeded
* Motivate, train and develop a high-performing front-of-house team
* Effectively manage departmental rotas, KPIs, and team performance
* Work cross-functionally with Housekeeping, Revenue and F&B to optimise guest experience and maximise occupancy
* Act as a key point of contact for guest feedback, escalations, and VIP services
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local area and hotel services to support guest enquiries
Candidate Profile:
* Prior experience as a Front Office Manager or Assistant Manager in a 4-star branded hotel environment
* Strong PMS knowledge (e.g., Opera or similar)
* Proven ability to lead teams in high-volume, high-pressure environments
* Exceptional guest service ethos and commitment to quality
* Confident decision-maker with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Flexible to work a variety of shifts including weekends, early mornings, and evenings
