Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related discipline; a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience within private equity, fund administration, or financial services audit.
  • Willingness to learn AIFMD, AML/KYC, and local regulatory frameworks (Luxembourg and UK preferred).
  • Proven experience with fund structures (LP/GP, feeders, SPVs, carry vehicles).
  • Knowledge of US GAAP; experience with consolidation and fund reporting advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with compliance and regulatory is an advantage but not a requirement.

Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounting, reporting, and financial control for fund and management company entities.
  • Review quarterly and annual financial statements prepared by fund administrators.
  • Manage capital activity processes (calls, distributions, waterfall allocations) in collaboration with fund accounting teams.
  • Support annual audits for funds and management entities, liaising with external auditors.
  • Manage various processes for the European management company, including managing books and records, payroll and other statutory filings.
  • Interact with external contacts including the Fund Administrator, auditors, tax advisors, and other third‑party service providers.
  • Prioritise and track various calendar deliverables and deadlines and assist with investor‑related tasks.
  • Complete ad hoc projects and tasks to improve efficiency and processes.

Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Work with Compliance Consultant and counsel to oversee the firm’s compliance framework in line with AIFMD, CSSF circulars, and local regulatory obligations.
  • Oversee AML/KYC processes for investors, portfolio companies, and counterparties in collaboration with the AIFM and administrators.
  • Support preparation of compliance reports, risk registers, and annual CSSF filings.
  • Liaise with the depositary, AIFM conducting officers, and service providers to monitor adherence to the fund’s operating model and control environment.
  • Assist with governance documentation, entity formation, and board packs for Lux entities, including liaising with external counsel.
