JW Lees have an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join our IT Team based at the JW Lees Brewery in Middleton, supporting with everything tech and IT within our support office and managed estate.

IT Support Engineer Role Specification:
- Experience in understanding business needs in relation to IT.
- Support and management of the organisation's user-based IT environment, both hardware and software.
- The operation of the IT Support Desk ensuring correct pathway to IT services.
- Support, management and maintenance of the organisations IT infrastructure and remote management of all sites IT installation.
- Liaison with 3rd party suppliers and service providers ensuring service levels are maintained.
- Advising users of best use of IT facilities.
- Adherence to security best practices to ensure the security of the organisation's data and property.
IT Support Engineer Person Specification:
- Relevant experience in IT, supporting desktop computing and its associated environments.
- A proven understanding of the need for customer service, providing exemplary response and ownership of issues raised throughout the lifecycle of an incident or problem.
- Requires a sound applied and theoretical knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
- A good working knowledge of server technologies VMWare, Exchange and SQL.
- Sound working knowledge of TCP/IP and internet technologies.
- Highly motivated self-starter, able to work on own initiative.
- A full driving license and ability to use own car for business purposes.
- Previous experience of IT in a retail or hospitality environment & an understanding of the Data Protection Act and PCIDSS would be highly desirable.
