We are seeking a motivated and detail-focused Audit Semi-Senior to join our expanding Audit team, supporting the delivery of specialist knowledge and audit services to a mix of corporate and not-for-profit clients. This role is ideal for someone who is part-qualified (ACA/ACCA) and looking to progress their career in a supportive and client-focused environment. You will work closely with audit seniors and managers to deliver high-quality audits for a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors.

The role:

  • Assist in planning, performing, and completing statutory audits for a range of clients
  • Prepare audit fieldwork, including testing and analysis of financial statements
  • Identify audit issues and recommend solutions under supervision
  • Work closely with clients, developing positive working relationships and maintaining high levels of service
  • Draft clear and concise working papers and audit reports
  • Liaise with other departments (e.g., accounts, tax) where appropriate
  • Support the audit team in meeting deadlines and ensuring compliance with professional standards and internal procedures
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

To be considered, you will need:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice, with exposure to audit assignments
  • Good understanding of compliance and regulation with specific knowledge of FRS102 and Financial Reporting Standards
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience using audit software (e.g., CaseWare, CCH, or similar)
  • Exposure to clients in a variety of industries
  • Working knowledge of tax and accounts preparation
