We are looking for a Store Manager to join us to lead our amazing store in Pimlico. Situated in carefully selected locations worldwide, renowned for their creativity, luxury, interiors, fine art, or bespoke design – our stores showcase an exceptional collection of luxury homeware, furniture, artwork, lifestyle pieces, fashion and leather goods. We work with discerning private clients, interior designers, and collectors, creating a space that embodies inimitable creativity, timeless elegance, artistry, and personal service.
The role of Store Manager leads the overall performance, operations, and client experience in store, inspiring and motivating the team to deliver exceptional service and sales across all categories, and ensuring our store reflects the creativity and quality of the JW Anderson brand. The Store Manager demonstrates strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the luxury industry (Fashion, Art, Culture), to elevate team and store performance.
Sales Focus & Customer Experience- Devise and implement a Store Strategy and Action Plan to generate sales, build a strong database and CRM plan, and support the team in their development.
- Manage, motivate and ensure the team is fully equipped to exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Drive business through KPI and goal management.
- Ensure consistent retail excellence for clients across all touchpoints, ensuring the selling ceremony, follow-up, and client treatment initiatives reflect brand standards.
- Demonstrate sales leadership by playing an active role on the sales floor, balancing floor presence with strategic planning.
- Identify sales opportunities and market trends, tailoring strategies to enhance the shopping experience and drive revenue.
- Build and maintain loyal client relationships from all areas including interiors, design, lifestyle and fashion spheres.
- Ensure the store is constantly animated through events and other initiatives to drive client acquisition, satisfaction, and sales.
- Work collaboratively with office teams to support store action plan and wider business goals.
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team, ensuring each member is motivated, skilled, and aligned with the brand’s values and vision.
- Focus team members on individual sales and CRM targets through Retail Excellence tracking.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that prioritises exceptional client service and brand representation – championing excellence and innovation.
- Ensure all team members are knowledgeable about the brand’s products, history, and values to deliver a luxury customer experience.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and offer ongoing coaching and development for team members.
- Effectively manage staff rotas to always ensure the right coverage, balancing customer demand, team availability, and budget efficiency.
- Ensure team presentation is consistently at the highest standards as per guidelines.
- Exemplify agility and entrepreneurial spirit to build the business, adapt to changing contexts, and seize new opportunities.
- Take full ownership of stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment and ordering to meet client demand while avoiding overstock.
- Maintain an organised stockroom, implement stock rotation best practices, and ensure accuracy in the inventory system.
- Collaborate with the product team to coordinate the timely delivery of new stock, ensuring product availability on the sales floor.
- Oversee and conduct annual stock takes and any additional stock counts as required.
- Be accountable for achieving sell-through targets, proactively managing inventory to drive sales and minimise markdowns.
- Align in store VM and messaging with HQ teams to maximise impact of product launches and ensure alignment with Ecom / global launches / product investments, ensuring the showroom reflects a curated experience.
- Ensure client experience meets the high standards of hospitality and welcome of the brand.
- Promote the JWA store within the area to form local partnerships and activations.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports on store performance, sales, customer acquisition and CRM, customer feedback, and inventory levels.
- Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to adapt sales strategies and remain competitive.
- Manage the store budget, including tracking expenses, controlling costs, and ensuring financial targets are met.
- Ensure the store operates in compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety checks and maintain an organised and clean working environment for both customers and staff.
- Ensure FOH and BOH standards are maintained at the highest levels.
- Experienced luxury retail leader with a background in interiors, homeware, lifestyle, collectible design, high-end fashion or accessories.
- Deep appreciation for craftsmanship, interiors, fine furniture, homeware, and art.
- Strong sales and customer-focused mindset with a passion for fashion and luxury retail.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
