Job Overview
We train Wednesday and Thursday at New River Sports centre, Wednesday from 17:00 to 19:30 and Thursday from 18:00 to 20:30.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Volunteer Assistant Coach to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about sports and education, and who wish to make a positive impact on the lives of young athletes. As a Volunteer Coach, you will be responsible for educating and mentoring participants in various sports, fostering teamwork, discipline, and personal growth.
Responsibilities
-Partecipate in Developing and implement training programmes that cater to the skill levels of participants.
- Educate athletes on the fundamentals of the sport, including techniques, strategies, and rules.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and teamwork.
- Conduct regular practices and drills to enhance individual and team performance.
- Monitor the progress of athletes and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Organise and participate in competitions, ensuring all logistical aspects are managed effectively.
- Serve as a role model for athletes by demonstrating sportsmanship, respect, and commitment.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and other coaches regarding progress and any concerns.
Requirements
- Previous experience in sports coaching or a strong background in playing sports is desirable.
- A genuine passion for educating young individuals through sports.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Strong organisational skills to manage training sessions effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- A commitment to creating a safe and supportive atmosphere for all participants.
- Safeguarding certificate to work with Children
