Founded in 2020, our vision is to disrupt the multi-trillion dollar convenience retail market, currently dominated by major players, by developing best-in-class customer-centric technology and fulfilment solutions. The Senior Finance & Strategy Manager will act as a core commercial and strategic partner to leadership, combining financial planning and analysis with broader strategic finance. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Finance & Financial Control, you will turn data into decisions: owning the forecasting and budgeting cycle, driving the business towards its profitability targets, and helping to shape the analysis behind pricing, subscription and other commercial and strategic activity.

The role deliberately spans the full breadth of strategic finance, from planning and commercial analysis through to investor reporting, corporate activity and management of the cap table, giving you rare end-to-end exposure in a fast-scaling business. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role for someone who wants real ownership from day one.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning, forecasting and modelling
    • Own the company's forecasting cycle end to end: the rolling cash forecast, quarterly reforecasts, the annual budget and the long-range financial plan.
    • Build and maintain robust, scenario-based financial models that support both short-term operating decisions and long-term strategy.
    • Run variance analysis against budget and forecast, isolating the key drivers and translating them into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Commercial finance and profitability
    • Partner with teams across the business, including commercial, operations, marketing and product, to drive performance against profitability and EBITDA targets and to inform strategic priorities.
    • Support the financial analysis behind pricing decisions, promotional activity, subscription (Zapp+) economics and unit economics, quantifying the margin impact of commercial choices before they are made.
    • Identify margin, mix and efficiency opportunities across the business and build the business cases to act on them.
  • Investor reporting and corporate activity
    • Support investor reporting and relations, preparing board materials, investor updates and the analysis that underpins them.
    • Support corporate activity including fundraising, due diligence and transaction processes, owning the financial information shared with investors and advisers.
    • Manage and maintain the cap table, modelling dilution and the equity impact of funding rounds, option grants and other corporate events.
  • Reporting and business partnering
    • Prepare and present clear, insightful reporting to senior leadership, surfacing the KPIs and financial metrics that matter.
    • Act as a trusted finance partner to department heads, aligning their budgets and plans with overall business objectives.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
  • Strong hands-on finance experience spanning FP&A and broader strategic finance, gained in industry (retail or high-growth consumer experience a plus, but by no means essential).
  • Proven track record of building scenario-based financial models from the ground up to support both operating and strategic decisions.
  • Commercially and strategically minded, comfortable turning analysis into recommendations on pricing, margin, growth and strategy.
  • Exposure to investor reporting, fundraising or corporate transactions is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and constructively challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated, confident self-starter who thrives on autonomy in a fast-paced, dynamic and complex environment.
  • Advanced Excel; comfort working with large data sets (SQL / BigQuery a plus).

Enjoy 25 days of holiday per year (plus all bank holidays). Private Health Insurance. Extended sick pay and maternity/paternity leave pay.
