We’re looking for a highly‑skilled, driven and deeply creative 3D artist to work on an exciting new and original sci‑fi and fantasy IP for console and PC. As a 3D Artist you will bring our world to life, creating characters, creatures, weapons and more. Working independently and alongside an Art Director and other experienced artists, you will help shape the final vision for the game. The role is based at our studio in Cambridge, UK, and currently the team is working remotely. You must be eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Produce AAA standard 3D assets in line with the project's semi‑realistic art style.
  • Work on a wide variety of assets, including humans, clothing, creatures and weapons.
  • Work closely with the Art Director, other experienced artists and development teams.

Essential Requirements

  • Exceptional portfolio that includes both organic and hard surface assets.
  • Professional games experience as a 3D Character Artist with an excellent track record of delivering high‑quality assets.
  • Familiarity with the entire game asset creation pipeline: high‑poly sculpting, retopology, UV mapping, texture baking, texture painting, setting up and exporting to game.
  • Excellent knowledge of ZBrush, Maya and Substance Painter.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine.
  • Great understanding of anatomy.
  • Understanding of game asset topology that takes into account specified budgets and animation requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Able to collaborate and work well in a team.
  • Willing to give and receive constructive feedback.
