We are looking for a Junior Coordinator - Content Acquisition to support content licensing and partnership conversations, operations, and processes with our global partners. In this role, you will support and gradually take on responsibility in negotiations, ensure timely follow-ups, track agreements to completion, and help identify new opportunities as our product launch approaches and beyond.
You will work closely with the SVP Global Content Acquisitions and collaborate with different teams across JustWatch, supporting ongoing initiatives, developing new workflows, and coordinating across stakeholders. As this project is still in an early stage, the role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, a genuine interest in the media industry, a passion for film and TV, and the ability to manage multiple topics in parallel, both in person and digitally.
We are looking for someone reliable, curious, and eager to learn, with a hands-on mindset and clear communication skills.
What you will be doing:
- Support the SVP Global Content Acquisitions in conversations and negotiations with leading studios, broadcasters, mini-majors, and independent distributors worldwide.
- Coordinate the operationalisation of content agreements from start to finish, including avails handling, onboarding, and delivery processes.
- Track conversations, follow-ups, drafts, agreements, and deliveries to ensure timelines are met with accuracy and care.
- Support strategic content planning and scheduling, collaborating with teams such as Content Operations, Rights, Legal, Marketing, Product, PR, BI, and Finance.
- Prepare and support participation in global content markets such as Cannes Marché du Film, MIP, London Screenings, and Series Mania, and attend selected events together with the SVP Global Content Acquisitions.
- Research competitor offerings, market trends, and opportunities to improve internal processes, tools, and systems.
- Lead the onboarding and delivery processes post-deal closure with all our content partners, then ensure timely reporting and replies to queries.
- Track and evaluate potential content opportunities with new and existing partners, considering market dynamics, seasonality, and cultural trends.
What we need from you:
- 1–2 years of experience in the media industry, ideally at a streamer, studio, distributor, broadcaster, or agency.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple projects and partner requests.
- A proactive, hands-on mindset and a willingness to take ownership.
- Enjoyment of conversation and collaboration, with a genuine interest in people and partnerships.
- Ability to analyse data and derive actionable insights, with confidence working in Excel or Google Sheets and larger data sets.
- Regular use of streaming services and curiosity about how they work behind the scenes.
- You are a JustWatch user or have recently discovered it and are excited about joining us.
- Passion for film and TV, with an interest in industry and cultural trends.
- Excellent communication skills in English. Additional languages are a plus.
Constant learning, delivering results, and creating value are the core characteristics of everyone at JustWatch, and we seek these values in every person we hire.
What we offer you:
- An open-minded and international team that loves to collaborate to reach our goals.
- Leadership and colleagues with experience at leading media companies such as HBO, WarnerMedia, Disney, Amazon, Pluto TV, and MUBI.
- A truly hybrid work environment, with a welcoming and growing office in central London.
- We prioritise meaningful work over perks, and that true fulfilment comes from intrinsic motivation, personal growth, and making a lasting impact.
- We believe in a permissionless environment that lets us focus on delivering value without overcomplicating things.
- A rare opportunity to build a unique product, to contribute and benefit from its long-term success.
- We trust our skilled professionals to maintain a no-nonsense attitude and create an environment that promotes innovation and the sharing of ideas.
- We are committed to helping you achieve your personal and professional goals, and we offer a collaborative and supportive environment to do so.
- Opportunities to travel to content markets across the UK and Europe, and to attend festivals where possible.
