About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a full-time Pastoral Support Assistant to join an alternative provision setting starting ASAP in the Wisbech area to cover on a long-term, temporary basis.
The setting supports pupils who are unable to access mainstream education, delivering structured provision focused on behaviour support, attendanceand engagement through individual support plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pastoral support to pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Support pupils with behavioural needs using consistent behaviour management strategies
- Work with teaching staff, families, and external agencies to support attendance, engagement and wellbeing
Pre-requisites:
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent)
- Experience supporting pupils in a pastoral, behaviour, or alternative provision setting
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies, safeguarding, and pastoral support approaches
- Two education or school-based references
