About the role:
Justteachers are recruiting for a committed and inspirational SEN Teacher to work within a specialist SEN school in Stratford-upon-Avon from September 2026.
The school supports Key Stage 4 pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and communication needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing pupils for adulthood, independence, and future pathways
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of learners with complex SEND.
- Support pupils in developing academic, social, communication, and life skills.
- Differentiate learning to ensure all students can access the curriculum.
- Work closely with support staff, therapists, families, and external agencies.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress against EHCP outcomes.
- Promote independence, confidence, and preparation for adulthood.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and achievement.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching pupils with SEND, ASC, MLD, or SLD.
- Understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning approaches.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
- Passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
