About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a Sports Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Autism-focused school in the Keighley area on a long-term basis.
The full-time post is due to start in September 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.
This nurturing and inclusive school supports children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), promoting physical activity as a key part of their development. The team is passionate about using sport and movement to build confidence, improve wellbeing, and support emotional regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the delivery of PE lessons and structured physical activities
- Encouraging participation and engagement through adapted sports and movement sessions
- Working closely with teaching staff to support pupils’ social, emotional, and sensory needs
Pre-requisites:
- Experience working with children or young people with Autism or SEND
- A passion for sport, physical education, and inclusive learning
- Strong communication skills and a calm, supportive approach
- Two education or care-based references
