About the role:
A welcoming SEND school in Spalding is looking to appoint a committed Classroom Teacher to join their team. The school supports children and young people with a range of special educational needs, providing a nurturing, structured environment where pupils can develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEND.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to ensure all learners can access the curriculum effectively.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and builds confidence.
- Use a range of strategies, including visual aids, modelling, and hands-on activities, to support understanding and engagement.
- Support pupils’ social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour and helping students regulate and refocus when needed.
- Monitor and assess progress, adjusting teaching approaches to support ongoing development.
Pre-requisites:
- Experience teaching children or young people, ideally within a SEND or inclusive education setting.
- Strong understanding of special educational needs and the ability to adapt teaching to meet a variety of learning needs.
- Confidence in using a range of teaching strategies to support engagement and behaviour.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach, with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
