About the role:
A welcoming and inclusive school is seeking a passionate KS2-trained Teacher to work with a KS3/4 group of students following a primary-style curriculum. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons based on a primary curriculum adapted for KS3/4 learners.
- Support pupils in developing core skills in literacy, numeracy, and personal development.
- Incorporate sport, physical activity, and movement-based learning to enhance engagement and support wellbeing.
- Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes confidence, routine, and positive behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team to implement individual learning and behaviour plans.
- Monitor and assess progress, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a Key Stage 2 teaching background.
- Experience or confidence in teaching pupils working at a primary level within KS3/4.
- A strong interest or background in Sports/PE, with the ability to use physical activity as a tool for engagement and development.
- Ability to deliver creative, flexible, and inclusive lessons tailored to a wide range of needs.
- A patient, resilient, and enthusiastic approach, with a commitment to supporting all learners to succeed.
