About the role:
Justteachers are pleased to be working with a supportive Secondary school in Spalding, who are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable PE Teacher to join their team on a long term full time supply basis, starting September 2026.
This school promotes a strong culture of participation, teamwork, and achievement, encouraging pupils to develop confidence and resilience through physical education and sport. Staff work within a well-established department, supported by shared resources and a collaborative approach to curriculum delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach PE across KS3 and KS4, following departmental planning
- Deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons that promote physical development and wellbeing
- Encourage participation, teamwork, and positive attitudes towards sport and fitness
- Adapt lesson delivery to meet the needs and abilities of different learners
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, safety, and classroom routines
- Support extracurricular sports activities and school events where appropriate
- Assess and monitor pupil progress in line with school expectations
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the PE department
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching PE in a UK Secondary school
- Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports and physical education activities
- The ability to engage and motivate pupils of all abilities
- Confidence working within an established department and following schemes of work
- Good classroom and behaviour management skills
- A reliable and flexible approach to long-term supply work
- Two recent education-based references
