About the role:
Justteachers are currently seeking aqualified Early Years Teaching Assistantto join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Spalding. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about working with young children and supporting their early education journey. The position is to start in September 2026 and will be made permanent after a successful initial probationary period.
The nursery is a warm, welcoming and community-focused early-years setting where children are encouraged to explore, play and grow with confidence. They provide a safe, nurturing environment that supports every child's individual needs, helping them develop socially, emotionally and academically through high-quality, play-based learning. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities
- Help to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with the daily care and supervision of children aged 9 months - 4 years including feeding and changing.
- Observe and record children's development and progress
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
Pre-requisites:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A team player with a proactive attitude
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
