About the role:
A supportive and inclusive school is seeking a dedicated KS2-trained English Teacher to join their team. This role focuses on working with pupils who have Speech and Language needs and Autism, delivering engaging and adapted English lessons that support communication, literacy, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons tailored to pupils with Speech & Language needs and Autism.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support communication, comprehension, and literacy development.
- Use specialist approaches such as visual supports, simplified language, modelling, and structured routines to aid understanding.
- Work closely with speech and language therapists, SENCOs, and support staff to implement personalised learning and communication plans.
- Foster a calm, supportive classroom environment that encourages confidence, participation, and positive interaction.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Key Stage 2, particularly in English.
- Experience supporting pupils with Speech and Language needs and/or Autism (ASC).
- Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Confidence using visual communication tools and structured teaching approaches.
- A patient, creative, and adaptable approach to teaching, with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
