About the role:
We are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher for a full-time role in Sheffield, starting in September 2026, on a long-term supply basis, with the potential to become a permanent member of staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, in line with the national curriculum
- Assess, track, and monitor student progress, using data to inform teaching and support pupil achievement
- Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, participation, and a love of learning
- Contribute to departmental planning, resource development, and the ongoing improvement of the Geography curriculum
- Maintain high standards of behaviour management and ensure effective classroom organisation to support learning
Pre-requisites:
- Relevant teaching qualifications (e.g. PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
- Demonstrable experience teaching Geography at secondary school level
- Strong subject knowledge and a clear understanding of the Geography curriculum
- Two recent education or school-based references
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
