About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Criminology to deliver engaging A Level Criminology lessons at a supportive secondary school in Sheffield. This role is available from September 2026, running into February 2027 (Half term). The role is on a long-term supply basis, offering full-time cover with flexibility for part-time applicants. This is a long-term supply position within a school known for its inclusive ethos, strong academic standards, and commitment to student success in a positive and well-resourced learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality A Level Criminology lessons in line with the curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Contribute to the wider department and uphold school policies and values
Pre-requisites:
- Relevant teaching qualifications (e.g. PGCE, QTS or equivalent)
- Proven experience of teaching Criminology at A Level
- Strong knowledge of the A Level Criminology curriculum
- Two education or school-based references
- Strong classroom management skills and a passion for the subject
