About the role:
justteachers is recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Science Teacher for a specialist educational setting in Henley-in-Arden, with the position starting in September 2026. This rewarding opportunity is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging science lessons while adapting learning to meet the individual needs of pupils with special educational needs. You will play a key role in creating an inclusive environment where every learner can thrive and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with SEN.
- Differentiate learning activities to support a range of learning abilities and additional needs.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and other professionals to support pupil progress.
- Monitor, assess, and record student achievement, adapting teaching strategies where required.
- Promote positive behaviour and build strong, supportive relationships with pupils.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching pupils with special educational needs in a primary, secondary, or specialist setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in Science.
- Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability.
- A commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils to achieve their best.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
