About the role:
Justteachers is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-resourced Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Rugby to recruit a passionate and committed SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity teaching within a KS2 SEN class, supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs. The school is committed to providing a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Create a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assess, monitor and record pupil progress against EHCP targets and curriculum objectives.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and external professionals.
- Implement behaviour support strategies to promote positive outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents, carers and stakeholders.
- Contribute to annual reviews, progress meetings and school development initiatives.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching primary-aged pupils, ideally within an SEN setting.
- Strong understanding of SEND, EHCPs and differentiated learning approaches.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A patient, flexible and nurturing approach to teaching.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
