About the role:
justteachers is working in partnership with welcoming and supportive SEN schools in Rugby to recruit dedicated SEN Support Staff for roles starting in September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for compassionate and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning needs.
- Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to help students achieve their learning goals.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Support pupils with personal care where required.
Pre-requisites:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable but not essential.
- A caring, patient, and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
