About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Year 6 Class Teacher in Rugby. This is a full-time role running from September 2026 through to the following Easter break. The position will involve preparing pupils for Key Stage 2 SATs, including revision, practice papers, and developing effective exam techniques.
The junior school is a four-form entry setting for pupils aged 7–11, located in an urban area. It promotes active, hands‑on learning, and you will be part of a strong, supportive teaching team committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality Year 6 lessons that support pupils in mastering the upper‑KS2 curriculum.
- Effectively prepare pupils for the transition to secondary school and end of year assessments (SAT’s)
- Promote positive behaviour across the classroom by using effective strategies and clear routines
Pre‑requisites:
- Qualified Teaching Status or equivalent
- Proven experience in Primary Education
- A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school‑based references
