About the role:
justteachers is recruiting a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil within a Key Stage 2 classroom from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping a child overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential in a supportive primary school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver consistent 1:1 classroom support tailored to the pupil's individual learning plan.
- Assist with differentiated learning activities across the curriculum.
- Promote engagement, independence, and confidence during lessons.
- Support the pupil with social interactions and emotional regulation.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies.
- Record observations and contribute to pupil progress reviews.
Pre-requisites:
- Experience working with children with additional needs, preferably in Key Stage 2.
- Understanding of a range of SEN, including ADHD, autism, or learning difficulties.
- Calm, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting behaviour.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
