About the role:
justteachers are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Leeds area. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, continuing until the end of the academic year.
The successful candidate will inspire students to explore religious beliefs, values, and ethical issues while fostering respect and understanding of different cultures and perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour
- Contribute to the wider school community and ethos
- Follow school policies on safeguarding, behaviour, and assessment
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Religious Education in a UK secondary school
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for RE
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Two school based references
