About the role:
Justteachers are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Leeds. This is a full-time position starting in September, initially running through to Christmas, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress
- Maintain strong classroom management and positive behaviour standards
- Contribute to the wider school community and departmental planning
- Support students in achieving their academic targets
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for Mathematics
- Excellent classroom management skills
- A proactive and flexible approach to teaching
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)
