Nursery Teaching Assistant Required – September 2026
A welcoming and nurturing Preschool and Nursery in Stratford-upon-Avon is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term supply basis from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a caring and motivated individual who is passionate about supporting young children’s learning and development during their crucial early years.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the Nursery Teacher and Early Years team in delivering engaging and stimulating activities.
- Assist children aged 2–5 years in their learning, play, and social development.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Support children with personal care where required.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
- Observe and record children’s progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
Pre-requisites:
- Level 2 or higher teaching assistant qualification or equivalent (Must be relevant to working with children)
- Proven experience working with children in a school or relevant setting (That can be referenced)
- A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references
