About the role:
Justteachers is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher for a full-time position within a specialist SEN school in Nuneaton, starting in September 2026.
This rewarding role involves teaching a KS2 class of pupils with a range of special educational needs. The school prides itself on delivering high-quality, personalised education and fostering a supportive environment where pupils can achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences tailored to individual pupil needs.
- Plan, prepare and adapt lessons in line with EHCP outcomes and curriculum expectations.
- Promote pupil engagement, independence and confidence in learning.
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress.
- Work closely with support staff, senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies and support plans.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil reviews and assessments.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, ideally in a primary or specialist setting.
- Knowledge of a range of SEN needs and effective intervention strategies.
- Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- A commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding best practice.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
