About the role:
justteachers is recruiting a committed KS1 SEN 1:1 Learning Support Assistant for a specialist SEN school in Nuneaton. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young learners overcome barriers to education and reach their full potential.
You will provide focused support to a pupil within a KS1 classroom, encouraging engagement, communication, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day.
- Assist with personalised learning activities and interventions.
- Support the pupil’s emotional, social, and academic development.
- Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage engagement.
- Liaise with teaching staff and specialist professionals.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Pre-requisites:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN.
- Understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning approaches.
- Ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
- Strong teamwork and organisational skills.
- Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Relevant TA, childcare, or support work qualifications are desirable.
