Learning is tailored to individual needs through structured routines, adapted approaches, and a calm, nurturing environment. This role starts in September, full-time, with the view of being permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support, focusing on helping pupils regulate their emotions and access learning effectively.

- Use consistent, supportive strategies—such as visual aids, clear instructions, modelling, and structured routines—to promote focus and participation.
- Support pupils in managing behaviours linked to dysregulation, offering calm guidance and helping them re-engage with learning.
- Work collaboratively with staff to reinforce key learning outcomes and support pupils’ overall development.
Pre-requisites:
- Experience supporting children or young people in education, tutoring, care, or similar settings, particularly those with additional needs.
- Understanding of SEND and how to support pupils with emotional regulation and barriers to learning.
- Ability to use a range of approaches to engage learners, including clear explanations, modelling, and structured support strategies.
