About the role:
Justteachers is seeking an Autism Support Assistant to work within a specialist resource base attached to a mainstream school in Milton Keynes. This full-time role starts in September 2026 and is expected to continue until July 2027. You will support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition to engage successfully in school life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualised support throughout the school day
- Support communication and sensory regulation
- Implement personalised learning strategies
- Encourage independence and confidence
- Liaise with teachers and external professionals
Pre-requisites:
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism
- Understanding of sensory needs and communication strategies
- Patient and flexible approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
- Two references within the last two years from a related field
