The school provides tailored support for children and young people across all age groups, focusing on developing academic skills, independence, and confidence through adapted teaching, structured routines, and a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of differentiated and accessible lessons by working alongside teaching staff, breaking down tasks and scaffolding learning.
  • Reinforce key concepts to enable pupils with SEND to engage confidently with the curriculum.
  • Use structured support strategies, including visual aids, clear instructions, modelling, and hands-on activities to promote participation and maintain focus.
  • Encourage positive learning behaviours by providing calm, consistent support, helping pupils to self-regulate and re-engage with learning when required.

Pre-requisites:

  • Experience supporting or delivering structured learning activities for children or young people (in schools, tutoring, care, clubs, or similar settings).
  • Understanding of special educational needs and the ability to adapt support strategies effectively.
