About the role:
A dynamic and forward‑thinking secondary school in North Leeds is seeking an energetic PE Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This long‑term, full‑time role is perfect for someone who thrives on motivating young people, promoting healthy lifestyles, and delivering high‑quality physical education across a range of sports. Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery — Teach engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
- Skill Development — Develop students’ physical skills, teamwork, resilience, and confidence through varied activities.
- Extracurricular Leadership — Lead or support sports clubs, teams, and school competitions.
- Assessment & Progress — Monitor and record student progress, using data to inform planning and differentiation.
- Health & Safety — Maintain safe practice in all lessons, ensuring equipment and activities meet safety standards.
- Safeguarding — Uphold safeguarding policies and promote student wellbeing at all times.
Pre‑requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports and physical activities.
- Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour‑management skills.
- A proactive, motivating, and positive approach to teaching.
- Commitment to professional development and whole‑school involvement.
