About the role:
Justteachers are currently looing for a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Leeds from September 2026 until the end of the Christmas term, with the possibility of extending for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Develop lesson plans that promote understanding of both physical and human geography
- Assess, record, and report on student progress in line with school policies
- Differentiate teaching to support students of varying abilities and learning styles
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in Geography or a closely related subject
- Experience teaching Geography at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge across key geographical topics
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Two school based references
