About the role:
Justteachers are working in partnership with a welcoming Primary school in Thetford who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teacher for a part time role starting in September.
This school provides a caring and inclusive learning environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning. Staff work together to create engaging lessons and positive classroom experiences, ensuring pupils are supported throughout their early education journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum
- Support pupils in developing reading, writing, maths, and communication skills
- Create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity and participation
- Assess pupil progress and use this to inform future planning
- Deliver effective phonics teaching and support early reading development
- Promote positive behaviour and strong classroom relationships
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
- Knowledge of phonics and early years learning progression
- The ability to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- A flexible and professional approach to part time teaching
- Two recent education based references
