About the role:
Justteachers are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to support the growing demand for secondary school supply cover across the King's Lynn area. With a high volume of daily bookings available from September, this is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible work, as well as those seeking regular full-time placements.
Working across a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools, successful candidates will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff. This position is ideal for experienced Cover Supervisors, graduates considering a career in education, teaching assistants looking to progress, or individuals with experience working with young people in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain on task
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and expectations
- Create a positive and productive learning environment
- Support students with their learning and encourage engagement with set work
- Record attendance and report any issues or concerns to appropriate staff
- Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson outcomes and student behaviour
- Adapt confidently to different school settings, subjects, and year groups
- Promote high standards of behaviour, respect, and achievement
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and school leaders
- Follow safeguarding procedures and promote student welfare at all times
- Represent Justteachers professionally within partner schools
Pre-requisites:
- Experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational, youth work, coaching, or similar setting is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour management abilities
- Confidence leading groups of students independently
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different schools and environments
- A professional, proactive, and positive approach
- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Two recent professional references
