About the Role:
justteachers are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in King’s Lynn who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full‑time, long‑term basis from September.

The successful candidate will work closely with Key Stage 2 pupils, providing classroom support and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 2
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and support progress
- Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and learning activities
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Support pupils with varying abilities and learning needs, ensuring all children can access the curriculum
- Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and engagement in learning
- Promote positive behaviour and help maintain high standards within the classroom
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers where appropriate
- Support the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues
- Assist with educational visits, enrichment activities, and school events where required
- Participate in school meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
- Promote safeguarding and pupil welfare at all times
- Uphold the school’s values and commitment to providing high‑quality education for all learners
Pre‑requisites:
- Previous experience working with children within a primary school or educational setting
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
- Experience supporting Key Stage 2 pupils is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A patient, caring, and supportive approach to working with children
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A commitment to supporting positive outcomes for all pupils
- An enthusiastic, proactive, and flexible attitude
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
