About the role:
justteachers is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Support Staff to join specialist SEN schools in Kidderminster from September 2026. These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve success in a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Deliver one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual learning needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour, communication, and independence.
- Support pupils with sensory, emotional, and physical needs where appropriate.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and wellbeing.
Pre-requisites:
- Experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable individuals is desirable.
- Patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
