About the role:
Justteachers are looking to appoint a motivated and compassionate SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a specialist SEN school in Kidderminster, starting in September 2026. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with additional learning needs while working within a dedicated and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and delivery of high-quality learning activities for pupils with SEN.
- Lead small-group and one-to-one interventions to support academic and personal development.
- Assist teachers in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Support pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism and moderate learning difficulties.
- Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Liaise effectively with teaching staff, parents and external agencies.
Pre-requisites:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent educational support experience.
- Previous experience working in an SEN school or specialist provision.
- Understanding of strategies to support pupils with additional needs.
- Excellent communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to the varying needs of pupils.
- Passion for supporting children and young people to achieve positive outcomes.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
