A well-established secondary school in Leicestershire is looking to appoint a dedicated English Teacher from September 2026. Start Date: September 2026
Placement Length: Two terms (September 2026 – Easter 2027)
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that motivate learners.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development.
- Participate in parents’ evenings and departmental meetings.
Pre-requisites
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English within a secondary setting.
- Strong subject knowledge.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire students of varying abilities.
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
