About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a caring and committed 1‑to‑1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Harrogate area on a long-term basis.
This full-time role is due to commence ASAP, with shortlisting currently underway. The school has a strong inclusive ethos and is dedicated to supporting pupils with additional needs through a nurturing and structured approach, helping them to access learning and build confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing dedicated 1‑to‑1 support for a pupil with SEND throughout the school day
- Supporting learning, communication, and emotional regulation in line with individual needs
- Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team to ensure consistent and effective support
Pre‑requisites:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a SEND support role
- Experience supporting children or young people on a 1‑to‑1 basis
- A good understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive practice
- Two education or school‑based references
