About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Halifax area on a long-term basis.
This full-time role is due to commence ASAP, with shortlisting currently underway. The school promotes an inclusive and supportive environment, with a strong focus on meeting the individual needs of pupils and helping them build confidence and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with SEND on a one‑to‑one or small‑group basis within the classroom
- Assisting with learning activities, communication, and emotional development
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the SEND team to deliver tailored support
Pre-requisites:
- Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a SEND support role
- Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
- A good understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive practice
- Two education or school‑based references
