About the role:
We are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive Primary School in the Fakenham area who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and motivated individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and pupils across the primary age range, providing classroom support and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in the classroom to access learning and achieve their individual targets
- Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging and effective learning activities
- Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups of pupils
- Assist with the delivery of interventions to support academic progress
- Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and independence
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers
- Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate
Pre-requisites:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school or educational setting
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable but not essential
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff
- The ability to build positive relationships and act as a positive role model
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
- Two recent education-based references
