About the role:
A welcoming secondary school in Coalville is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time supply basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop a passion for learning and achieve their full potential. The school is looking for a teacher who can create a positive classroom environment and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Assess, monitor and record student progress
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Prepare students for internal assessments and examinations
- Attend departmental meetings and school events where required
- Uphold safeguarding and wellbeing responsibilities at all times
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Science at secondary level
- Strong classroom management skills
- Passion for student achievement and progress
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
