About the role
We are seeking a reliable and adaptable Primary Supply Teacher to work across a number of primary schools within a supportive academy trust in Wakefield, starting ASAP. This is a flexible, ad hoc supply role where you can choose exactly how many days you want to work each week. You’ll enjoy minimal planning and marking, a variety of school environments, and a competitive daily rate of up to £180 per day. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who value flexibility, work–life balance, and diverse classroom experience. High demand means early applications are strongly encouraged.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons across all primary year groups as required.
- Adapt quickly to different school settings and pupil needs.
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively.
- Follow school and trust policies to ensure smooth continuity of learning.
Pre-requisites
- Relevant teaching qualifications (QTS or QTLS required).
- Proven experience of teaching across primary year groups.
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
- Two education or school-based references.
- A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
