Two thriving further‑education centres in Castleford and Wakefield are seeking dedicated Maths Lecturers to join their teams from September 2026. You’ll play a key role in supporting learners across a range of abilities, helping them build confidence, develop essential numeracy skills, and achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery — Teach engaging and well‑structured Maths lessons across GCSE, Functional Skills, or vocational pathways.
- Learner Support — Provide targeted guidance to help students overcome barriers and make measurable progress.
- Assessment & Tracking — Mark work, monitor achievement, and deliver constructive feedback that drives improvement.
- Resource Development — Contribute to high‑quality teaching materials that enhance learner engagement.
- Classroom Management — Maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports focus and participation.
- Safeguarding — Promote and uphold the highest standards of learner safety and wellbeing.
Pre-requisites:
- Experience teaching Maths at FE or secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge across GCSE and/or Functional Skills.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour‑management skills.
- A supportive, patient, and motivating approach to teaching.
- Flexibility to work full or part time depending on availability.
- Commitment to safeguarding and ongoing professional development.
