About the role:
justteachers are seeking a passionate and creative Drama Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the Bradford area. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable) and foster a love of performance, theatre, and the arts.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving performing arts department and support students in developing confidence, creativity, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality Drama lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Encourage student participation in performances, productions, and extracurricular activities
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Contribute to school productions, events, and enrichment activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and share best practice
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- A degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related subject
- Experience teaching Drama at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Two school based references
