About The Role

We are seeking a Head of Product to lead our UK product team and drive the strategic evolution of our marketplace platform. This hands-on leadership role reports to the SVP of Product & Engineering and works alongside the Head of Engineering and Head of Supply Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Execution: Define and drive the UK product strategy in partnership with the SVP Product & Engineering across our P2P marketplace, B2B partnerships, events platform, and operational tooling. Translate business objectives into a coherent product roadmap that balances customer needs with commercial imperatives. Own product development from concept through launch, ensuring high ROI and measurable impact. Partner with Engineering leadership to ensure technical feasibility and optimal delivery. Make data-driven decisions using analytics, user research, thousands of customer reviews, and marketplace metrics.
  • Team Leadership: Provide hands-on coaching and development for a team of product managers at varying experience levels. Foster a culture of ownership, experimentation, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development discussions. Recruit and onboard additional product talent as the team scales. Bridge product and design collaboration, working closely with the Lead Product Designer. Drive a quality-first mindset across the team, ensuring deliverables meet high standards and create measurable impact for users and the business.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in lockstep with Engineering Heads to align on technical roadmaps and resource allocation. Partner with Commercial, Operations, Marketing, Product Marketing, and Data teams to ensure product initiatives deliver business outcomes. Present product strategy and progress to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Facilitate cross-functional workshops and alignment sessions. Champion user-centered thinking across the organization.
  • Process & Ways of Working: Partner with Engineering leadership, the Delivery Manager, and SVP to evolve our product development processes. Assess current Agile practices and recommend improvements that increase velocity without adding bureaucracy. Champion product analytics and experimentation culture across the organization. Enhance cross-functional communication and alignment between Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams. Build stronger feedback loops between customer insights and product development. Implement best practices from marketplace and ecommerce environments. Establish clear frameworks for prioritization, feature development, and success measurement.
  • Hands-On Product Ownership: Own 1–2 strategic product initiatives personally, maintaining your product craft. Write PRDs, define requirements, and work directly with engineering squads. Conduct user research, analyze data, and validate hypotheses. Ensure products launch on schedule with proper go-to-market coordination.

Essential Experience

  • 5–7+ years in product management with at least 2+ years leading other product managers.
  • Proven marketplace or multi-sided platform experience.
  • Strong mobile app product experience (native iOS/Android) combined with responsive web—shipped consumer-facing apps at scale with demonstrable impact on user engagement, retention, and conversion.
  • Ecommerce fundamentals: payments, conversion optimization, checkout flows, user retention.
  • Startup or scaleup environment—operated with pace, ambiguity, and resource constraints.
  • Technical fluency—discuss APIs, system architecture, and technical trade-offs with engineering teams.
  • Data-driven mindset—comfortable with SQL, analytics tools, and experimentation platforms.
  • Team development—successfully coached and developed product managers.

  • Experience implementing product operations frameworks or ways of working improvements.
  • Previous exposure to Laravel/PHP, TypeScript, or AWS ecosystems.
